Insights into a successful implementation of a trade fair performance evaluation in times of COVID-19
The Auto China in Beijing opened its doors in the beginning of October. The leading trade fair in the Chinese market was awaited with great excitement – because compared to others the world’s largest car market has clearly gained momentum again. The most important German automobile manufacturers were also on site and insidery with them to evaluate the success of trade fair appearances.
Trade fair effectiveness control by insidery can efficiently be implemented under new framework conditions!
Sure, the framework parameters were significantly different this year. Due to the ongoing pandemic and the mandatory 14-day quarantine after entry into China, there were hardly any guests from abroad. The international exhibitors organized their trade fair appearances with mostly local staff. insidery also made use of its global network and recruited together with colleagues from the parent company MCI Group a powerful local interviewer team in the shortest possible time.
Due to the pandemic, strict entry controls were in place for both visitors and staff, including temperature measurements and testing of the Beijing Health Kit app. Masks were compulsory in the halls.
Even in this new, initially unfamiliar setting, the face-to-face interviews at the trade fair booths could be carried out very well by insidery. The willingness to participate and the quality of the interviews were overall very high, comparable to “before Corona” projects. This once again confirms that personal surveys can also be used sensibly in these unprecedented times.
Summary: insidery managed to collect important data for measuring the success of the trade fair performances of its customers to create meaningful analyses and well-founded insights.
